Hi

what would you expect to pay for 1 week holiday 2 adults 3 children to Spain/ Canary Islands in summer holidays all inclusive? I’ve never taken my family for this kind of holiday so no idea what is normal. Please could someone advise.

Any recommendations of where to go? Would consider other countries too.

You can do some test bookings on websites such as Tui, Jet2 Holidays and Thomas Cook as it'll depend on dates, departure airport and how old your kids are. Most operator sites enable you to select more than one airport and destination if you're not sure exactly where you want to go.
I'd expect probably £5k upwards.
I would probably avoid the Canaries in the summer holidays, it could be too warm for young children.

I'd say about 5k too. You might get 1 child free but it'll be well over a thousand each in the Summer hols. If you are able to go outside the school hols(we take kids out of school) it'll be much cheaper.

Turkey last year cost 5k for 2 adults and 3 teens all inc.

You'll probably need a family room, 1 adult with two kids and then a twin for 1 adult and two kids unless you can find somewhere that does bigger family rooms, or connecting rooms, unless one of the kids is a baby in a travel cot which automatically jumps the price up. I wouldn't expect much change from £6k

This makes me feel better because you hear all the time about people having family holidays away for tiny sums and I always wonder how??? We don't do all inclusive, we go self catering so we have enough bedrooms and we always pay ~£5K for a week in a city in Europe. Good to know the alternative is comparable.

Example: Jet2 to Mallorca, all inclusive, 2 adults and 3 children aged 7/10/13 in two rooms, departing Manchester on 3 August for a week.

Prices from £4,000 to £8,000, plus a few silly high-end ones. Use "Edit Search" top-right to tweak for your requirements.

Also, OP, I wouldn't go to the Canaries in the summer. It's even hotter than the rest of Spain and the flight is another two hours.

I think you could do it for 3k if you look at deals and cheapest days to fly

Favouritefruits · 19/02/2024 19:11

What airport can you get too?

toomanyleggings · 20/02/2024 10:31

Same position. You’re looking at 5k for something 4 star plus unless you go somewhere less nice where you could do it for 3ish.

DanceMumTaxi · 20/02/2024 12:22

At least 5k for somewhere reasonable, could easily be more like 6/6.5k.
