City/Short Break ideas

Thinking about doing a short break with my adult children to include a bit of sightseeing, wandering around and some nice places to eat/drink in the evening - fairly chilled. Thinking about the following at the moment: Dublin, Prague, Krakow, Dubrovnik. Anyone got any views about which of these might suit us best with enough to do during the day? And if you have recommendations for places to stay (there will be three of us) in any of them, that would be great.

Seville, Dubrovnik, Prague, Budapest and Lisbon are all lovely in the evening with plenty to do in the day.

Seville and Dubrovnik are my favourites!

Not Dublin!
Budapest and Barcelona are great and I've heard great things about Lisbon. I was watching Seville marathon yesterday and it looked like a stunning city.

Krakow is fantastic. I went for a week to visit a friend a few years ago and had an amazing time. I also love Lisbon and would highly recommend.

I haven’t been but my sister was recently in Krakow and loved it.

Haven't been to any on your list apart from Dublin - and it was very expensive to get a pint. I'm not that keen on Dublin for a weekend - not quite enough to do and not that chilled. Belfast is fabulous for a weekend - great food, museums, classic pubs...

I really like Malaga for a weekend break, food and wine, museums, probably nice weather.

Krakow is on my list as people I know loved it.

I agree @BarrelOfOtters I'd pick Belfast over Dublin any day and there's loads to see and do.

Budapest, Lisbon or Berlin

Barcelona?

Prague, Budapest, Lisbon, Porto, Seville & Cordoba, Malaga, Alicante, Valencia.
Dublin v expensive, more bang for your buck in other places

Ljubljana

Prague, Lisbon, Seville, Malaga or Granada. Or for somewhere a little different; Tallinn (although it’s a bit small) or Bergen.

I’ve been to Prague, Dubrovnik and Krakow. All fairly similar to be honest. All nice. If I was to go to one again I’d probably pick Krakow.

We are going back to Leipzig this year. I really recommend it. Not nearly as much of a tourist destination as the others and all the better for it.

Thank you everyone. I'm going to look at several options now. I'd never have considered Krakow before but people seem to rate it a lot so will definitely investigate further.
