Suggestions for couples only holiday

I have a big birthday coming up and am planning a holiday with DH (without the kids). We have a budget of about £2k and about 5 nights is all we can get childcare for...has anyone got any good suggestions. Looking at going in april/may and would like hot weather.

What do you like doing on holiday - relaxing, sightseeing, good food, etc?

It might be tricky to get guaranteed hot weather in Europe in April - I think your best bet would be Seville or Malaga for short flights, or the Canaries for a longer flight.

DH and I did Rome for a couples break last year and it was fantastic. Great food, lots to see and do, easy to get to the city from the airport, and not too far. We stayed at this Airbnb which was lovely and in a great area.

A couple of favourite trips with my DH have been to Tenerife with a car as there are some among roads there and a five night trip to Dubai. We’ve been to loads of other more exciting places but these stand out as they worked so well. In both places we had the perfect mix of activities and chilling time, in Tenerife we had breakfast at the hotel, dinner at different restaurants and lunch either at the hotel pool side restaurant if we were chilling or out and about.

That should say amazing roads.

Thanks, we enjoy sightseeing, but do want to chill on a beach for a couple of days to enjoy relaxing and being child free!

UAE or Oman but avoid Eid holiday (around 8-13 April). Shangri La Al Husn near Muscat is a great adults only resort.
