Flights from London to Alghero? Where and who flies there?

soupfiend · 16/02/2024 20:04

Ive tried googling but not sure how I find out what airlines go to Alghero from London and what London airports

I can find Ryanair who go direct from Stanstead. I dont like Ryanair and swore I wouldnt fly with them but I cant seem to find out where flights go to and from to Alghero

Thinking about it I suppose it doesnt have to be London although that would be a faff.

Why did you pay £3 for a text? Just download the app and log in with your email.

Because when booking it wasnt clear how the confirmation details come through, i thought that you had to get it by text and so clicked that button. Ive now got the text (because on inputting my number I didnt put the zero at the start because it came up with the UK code and generally you dont do that), so having amended that this morning its now come through so Ive paid 3 quid for literally just the flight number and times so wont do that again

Im on a laptop, I cant use phones easily so do as little as possible via a phone

Have you checked you didn't put a typo in the email address and checked your spam folder?

I've never failed to get an email confirmation. If you download the app on your phone and create an account it's easier.

No, I spoke with the person on the chat and he confirmed the email (because I cannot see my email address on the account its starred out and you cannot amend it), the email address is correct

He said it takes 24 hours for an email to come through. Never known anything like it.

Its not in my junk folder

I’ve done Stansted to Alghero on Ryanair. It was fine - great, even. Alghero airport is tiny and in the middle of a field, so about as relaxed an experience as you could hope for.

I fly Ryanair a lot and as long as you follow their rules to the letter (and grit your teeth if that’s what it takes) then you’ll be fine. Never had any problems with their app or their website. I’ve always had a confirmation email too. If you have a booking reference from the chat then you can access your booking via the website.

Alghero is a fabulous small city.

At the point your payment went through, the page would have reverted back to the "you're going to Alghero" page with your itinerary details and booking reference number. Don't suppose you still have the page open? Or made a note? Worth doing that in future. Presume you didn't create an account with them? That would also have stored your booking for easy access later with or without the email.

Again, I've never had an issue with receiving the booking details. Never paid £3 for texts. I thought they were just for updates about the flight tbh.

So you created an account? Log into it then. The booking will be there.

Yes my booking is there, but any time I purchase something from anywhere I would expect to have email confirmation of the purchase and payment, its just standard isnt it

I also struggle to use a phon so prefer to be able to send that email to my OH when we book flights so that he has it easily accessible on an email once we're at the airport if there are any problems

The booking confirmation should come from [email protected]. They usually send it through pretty quickly after payment has been accepted by them. Then 7 days after they send another email from [email protected] with the booking details to "upsell" other products. They send another email 14 days after booking with more upselling. They also send another email with the itinerary again, a week before travel and another the day before. As well they send you reminders about online check in.

I've just looked at all the emails for my upcoming flight and the previous one.

I havent had any confirmation by email from ryanair. Its quite remarkable

I can log into Ryanair (via paypal for some reason, I dont hav a ryanair account) and the details are there..... but I always worry about this because as an example, we are flying with Vueling this week ( I think as I keep getting emails from Iberia telling me about the flight this week with a completely different booking reference) and it wont recognise my password.

So all weekend I have been clicking on 'reset password' and it comes up with an error saying try in a few minutes. So I have no way of getting into my account with Veuling.

Its just done it again, no way of resetting my password. I hope Im not going to need to log in

Iberia and Vueling are owned by the same company and code share. Can you go onto the Iberia site with your reference and surname?

It tells me to go into the company who is managing the flight

If you can see your Ryanair booking reference then check in. That will generate a boarding pass inside the Ryanair website.

For Iberia/Vueling just go to the website you booked the flight on.

soupfiend · 20/02/2024 07:19

The ryanair flight isnt for months yet

I cant get into the Vueling website as it wont accept my password and wont reset the password, Ive just tried it again and it just says try again in a few minutes. Its been doing this since Saturday and also on other browsers so I know it not just a browser issue

OP posts:
soupfiend · 20/02/2024 07:20

I should say I booked the flight on Iberia which is why its odd its Vueling and that I cannot access the flight via Iberia, it tells me to go to 'the company that is managing your flight'

OP posts:

It isn’t odd that your Iberia flight is being provided by Vueling, they are code share partners. And if you booked by Iberia that is who your contract is with.

I had similar issues last year when I booked Iberia to get BA as that was cheaper than booking the same flight with BA.

soupfiend · 20/02/2024 07:37

Im not saying its odd that they are connected, Im saying its odd that I now cannot get into my flight with Iberia when I log on with them, it simply directs me to the other company (doesnt even specify the other company like as if it doesnt know)

I also have completely different booking references for Vueling to Iberia.
