We've booked a holiday to Lucca for August (I know it will be hot). How hot though!? We will be getting trains to Pisa and Viareggio for day trips, does anyone know if they're air conditioned? I'm worried Pisa is jam packed and boiling, as we really want to go and see the tower so we'll definitely be going at some point in the trip. Any reassurance / advice ?
I'm not great in the heat or crowds but apartment has air con and I've heard Lucca isn't as busy as other places in Italy at that time of year.
