Hi all,

we are a family of 3 (2 adults and one ten year old boy). We like to usually go to places self catering or bed and breakfast and explore. We are looking for an all inclusive package somewhere (because we are currently in Malta on one and we are so surprised how little money we have spent as I expected to still spend tons) with places such as museums, animal parks, hiking (think volcanos or national parks). We are currently in Malta and have loved Mdina, Valetta and Hagar Qim. In Greece we have loved archaeological finds and ruins. In Tenerife we loved visiting Teide, Loro Parque and in Mexico we loved swimming with sharks and XCarat. Where would be good to go next?

Costa del Sol, especially the area around Fuengirola. We went to Malaga, Mijas, Benalmedena, Bioparc Fuengirola, dolphin watching from Marbella and a hike on the Caminito del Rey.

Oh gosh I will be really honest and totally ‘unticked’ Spain as my only real experience had been a trip to Benidorm many years ago… obviously I know the whole of Spain will not be like Benidorm and Majorca but I just bypassed it. I will take a look now.

Egypt
Turkey
Cuba
Majorca is really good

We tend to go on a trip every other day and haven’t been to any all inclusive places where there haven’t been good excursions.

If you look on Viator/Tui experiences/Get Your Guide and for example put Bodrum, Turkey or Costa Brava etc into the search you’ll see the excursions available.

Lots of people can be snobby about places but I don’t think I’ve been anywhere where I haven’t interesting stuff to see and do.

I often book a holiday around a day out place I want to visit, my advise would be not to untick anywhere until you’ve done a bit of research into the place.

Lots of places work well with a car and this may save you some money. For example in Crete ww stayed in a nice all inclusive hotel and we visited lots of ruins, pretty little towns and also drove to a place we do could a couple of boat trips from.

Crete - Knossos etc
Sicily is great for history and volcanos, but don't know much about AI there
Majorca and Menorca have loads of great things to visit. We've always hired a car.

Costa Rica could work.

I thought of another one, St Lucia, my DC were around you DC’s age when we went. We visited a volcano, did a boat trip, rode on an aerial tram in the rain forest, went to various beaches and also enjoyed all the hotel amenities.

How about a med or Adriatic cruise? You get the equivalent of an AI hotel with lots of restaurants and entertainment and get to visit a new place every day.
We visited Split, Montenegro, Venice, Dubrovnik and others all on one trip

I've done costa del sol. Loved it. The train goes right along the coast and is regular and cheap.

Ds and I went to aqua parks, zoos, Malaga etc

We also loved Santa ponsa in Majorca. It's small but we travelled loads on public transport

Sorrento would be perfect, there are a few all inclusive hotels and days out to Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii or Herculaneum, boat trips to Capri, Amalfi etc.
