French car hire (caravan holiday!)

Hello knowledgeable people!

we are looking at hiring a car en very end of august first week of September as we fly to Nice and are staying 60km away. We have only ever Ferry/driven, however I need sunshine and pools to be open in September.

any advice on booking car hire. I’ve found Avis to be the best budget and reviews, budget is cheaper but reviews Mis matched! It’s for 2 adults 5 kids! Thank you 😊

@HappyHarry90 You will need a people carrier surely? We hired in Nice - Avis. Near the station. No issues but you need to see who has the biggest cars! We had an Audi A1.

Thank you. No we shouldn’t do, we don’t have a people carrier now and have managed happily with camping etc (in this country). Good to hear positivity around Avis!
