Help me find a campsite in France this May half term that's warm and close to coast?

this will be our first time camping in France and the choices are overwelming. Will it be warm enough end of May? Ideally we would like to be close to the coast and have waterslides, pools etc at the site. We are happy to drive longer to get further south. Would prefer a lodge/cabin style - but we could possibly bring our own camping kit too. A nice village/town nearby would be a bonus, but if the site has lots of offer that would work too. Budget is £500 for 6 days. Does a place like this exist? And will it be warm enough? Any insights much appreciated! We have two boys aged 4 and 9. Driving from London.

La Garangeoire, in the Vendee. You can get a week for your price range in May, and it has everything in your search criteria. It's very family friendly. The weather in France is never guaranteed, I've had lots of cloudy summer holidays there, as well as some scorchers.

Look at the vendee. We stayed near La tranche sur mer - clos des pins. The company we booked with no longer exists but you can book directly. It's cheap!

I’d go for somewhere with a covered heated pool. Domaine des Ormes is our favourite but it does mean using the car to get to the beach. The other one we like is Domaine La Rive, but it might be too far for you.
