Inspiration for 2 night break within 3 hours drive of North London

Looking for a short break in April. Pretty flexible on location but don't want to be in the middle of nowhere and definitely want to be in a nice town within walking distance of pubs, restaurants and preferably a beach with a few nice places to visit nearby. Found the ideal airbnb in Southwold but dithered and it got booked up 😔can't find any other suitable accommodation in that area (there will be 4 of us, we need parking and are on a budget) so looking for somewhere with a similar vibe. Tried doing an "anywhere" search on airbnb but that got overwhelming so need to narrow it down somehow!

Thank you.

Whitstable is a nice seaside town.

Are Bristol / Cardiff / Oxford / Cambridge / Bath too big? Great cities lots to do.

  • Rye/Camber Sands
  • Brighton/Hove
  • Lewes
  • Deal - though possibly too small

Arundel if you can find somewhere to stay.

Thanks all. Found some nice accommodation in a village near Norwich & The Broads 🙂
