Recommendations for a weekend abroad

As the title says I’m looking for some recommendations. It’s for me and my DH so adults only would be good, somewhere warm, end of April/May. Can anybody recommend places for me to look. Also it has been such a long time since I have booked a holiday myself, can you recommend websites etc. that are user friendly? Thanks so much in advance.

Budapest is my go to suggestion. Ideal for adults, had culture, entertainment, food, spas, fairly reasonable prices.

Lovely, thank you I’ll take a look. Where would you look to book? Any decent online places I can start?

Seville is lovely. How far do you want to travel, a weekend isn’t long so assume you want a short flight. Where do you live? If around London I’d recommend the Eurostar to Paris.

In terms of booking check the cheap flights websites (easyJet, Ryanair, etc), then once you’ve booked the flights, then look for a hotel.

Don’t really want to go too far because of the short time. Can actually do Wednesday-Sunday so might open the days up a bit. Live in the North West so airport would be Manchester or Liverpool.

I didn’t even think about booking the flights and accommodation separately so thanks for that. Off to have a look now.

Valencia is perfect for a long weekend.
Beach, beautiful old town and stunning space age architecture at the City of Arts and Sciences.

Liverpool Airport is much more manageable than Manchester, so look at destinations where they fly. Somewhere like Palma would be fun - it's a nice, compact city and would tick the box for warmth.
But any smaller city in Italy would be a winner. Or Lisbon, perhaps, if you want good VFM.
