We went to Cambrils Park for the first time last year with grandparents and DS and loved it.

We'd love to do another Eurocamp this June but are struggling to find another site with two or more double rooms (most three room accomodation seem to be one double and two smaller kids rooms).

Can anyone recommend sites that offer three doubles like Cambrils? Ideally we're looking at Spain or Italy.

Thanks!

We used to go to keycamp when ours were little i think Eurocamp bought them out ?They're just the best holidays with kids aren't they ! Isn't there a number you can ring or a text chat to find that out? Dol de Bretagne was a fantastic site we went to also Lacanu Ocean and les Ecureils but that was 20 years ago !

I think it will be hard to find 2+ double beds in a Eurocamp style unit, but I recommend you check out Sandaya:

I’ve just picked that site randomly, I haven’t been there. We went to one of theirs on the French Riviera and it was gorgeous. Really nicely kept, and newer mobile homes than Eurocamp. We love Eurocamp, and are staying in one this summer, but once you start finding out about other companies it can really open up your options.
Sandaya do Italy as well 👍

Most campsite mobile homes in France have 2 twin rooms with 1 double but there are a few that have 2 doubles. Generally you'd have to look on each campsite to see what they have. The accommodation would be described as a "Double' 'Twin' or 'Friends' and they're usually not cheap. For example the site we have booked has this:

Another option would be for the grandparents to rent their own small mobile on the same park. We stayed in Yelloh Club Farret last year and they had loads of accommodation options, not just mobile homes.

You need to search on the type of accommodation, not the site. See which sites have the design of mobile home that you need. Also make sure you look at other companies not just Eurocamp. Vacances Soleil is one of the biggest.

Great, thanks everyone! Have had a good look through Eurocamp already so will try the other sites suggested.

Yes, I forgot about Hu Openair (as they are now called) - we love Norcenni Girasole near Florence! You could look at their apartments as well as the mobile homes.

MissAmbrosia · 12/02/2024 10:43

Have a look at Union Lido, or Porto Felice - they have lots of different accommodation options.

MissAmbrosia · 12/02/2024 10:44

Their own websites I mean vs Eurocamp

NoCloudsAllowed · 12/02/2024 10:50

You can reverse engineer it and find Eurocamp sites then search for the site and see who else offers accommodation there. Most sites have at least 3-4 different companies offering identical or v similar accommodation.

Some sites also offer their own accommodation.

Honestly I don't know why there isn't a European camping aggregator site where you can find all the different offerings that do Eurocamp style holidays.

Eurocamp seem to be continuing to operate just because the market is a bit dysfunctional and it's hard to find the alternatives! I've been put off Eurocamp as you're basically at the mercy of whether a bunch of teenagers can be bothered to do their job well - quite often the answer has seemed to be no!

JaneIves · 12/02/2024 10:58

Really not hard to search for other operators or the sites own accommodation.

Googling 'campsites France' you'll get EC, Roan, Sandaya, Yelloh, capfun and more.

There is a website that covers a lot of them: https://www.allcamps.co.uk/

You can search on the Eurocamp site for 4 bedroom mobile homes which, I think, have 2 doubles.

You could try Siblu for sites in France. I'm not sure how big their accommodation is though.

Meredusoleil · 18/02/2024 17:49

I was under the impression Eurocamp now own both Roan and Vacancesoleil? Even Canvas is theirs too!

Hu, Yelloh, Sandaya and Huttopia are still separate companies though.
