Going on holiday with adult child and partner

Planning on going on holiday for a week with dd and her boyfriend. Thinking of renting a large villa somewhere with grounds and a swimming pool.

We get along well with dd and the boyfriend. What are the potential pitfalls?

Depending on their financial status I think you need to be clear up front who is paying for what... meals out etc

Oh yes - we actually all earn the same amount of money. The expectation is that everything will be halved eg dh&me and dd&boyfriend

Transport, we went away with in laws and only hired one car which meant day trips had to be done together…it was somewhere with limited public transport.

who does the shopping, cooking. Again in laws have fairly traditional views that women do all that. Fortunately my dh doesn’t….

However well you get on, your daughter & her boyfriend are going to want time alone together, and probably quite a lot of it, so that needs to be factored in. He will be going on holiday with his in-laws, which isn’t the most relaxing situation, obviously, so allow him some space.
