Anyone tried Club Med?

How does it compare to Ikos/sani standard? Would you recommend? For a couple and 2.5 year old...

I’ve been a couple of times. It’s a French resort. While staff generally have English, it’s a French resort - no matter what country you’re in - and French is the primary language. Accommodation is good, food generally excellent, although I was in an Italian 3 Trident and the food was poor (I think that’s closed now). Activities fantastic for both adults and kids. Entertainment good, if you like that kind of thing. You’re paying for activities and gastronomy. It’s not as ‘delicate’ as Ikos, iykwim. Both have their advantages. Club Med is much better for activities.

Oops - missed your question. Would I go again? Yes. But I would also go back to Ikos. Food is comparable I think, possibly a bit better in Club Med. But it’s mainly buffet and quite noisy in Club Med. Quite the holiday club feel (but way nicer). I think kids are better served in Club Med. Depends on what you like. If you’re sporty, then Club Med.
