Anyone been to Javea in Spain for a Summer Hol?? Any thoughts on the area for a holiday with 2 children age 5 and 3?

hi ruthiebabes, we went with 3 yr old son 2 yrs ago and stayed in brilliant appartment booked via holiday rentals.com or owners direct I think. Can't remember area but was basically 5 min walk from main area, beach, shops etc. Will see if I can recognize name of it on website.It's a great resort for los - lots of climbing frames on beach itself, sea nice,clean & shallow and beachside restaurants along the front.Took us about 11/2 hrs in hire car from alicante, maybe less.Quite spanish resort but also a few expats etc. Lots of appartments to rent from brits if you look, but not many packages.Do be careful re location cos even then there was lots of building going on back inland, some of the accommodation a long long way from resort centre.Didn't do much exploring apart from to benidorm zoo and to old javea.Only minus point- beach clean but lots of cig. butts mixed in - lovely...Louise.
