carribean all inclusives

Hi Mums, I really want to go to the carribean but am aware that although beautiful there usually isnt much within easy reach of the hotels, i was wondering if i will be bored siff. So my thoughts are around the activities in these hotels, do they realise they need to provide alot of day and night entertainment for us??? Do they provide more than european hotels and is the standard of food better??? thank you in advance. xx

er - they don't.

Lots of people want to just relax on holiday. Not everyone "needs" entertainment either at night or in the day, let alone both. In fact, I wouldn't have thought many people at all "need" entertaining all the time.

This is quite a weird entitlement.

We recently stayed AI in Antigua and the entertainment was very low key. Nothing during the day and based in the bar at night.

The food was local, international and American. Drinks were good and I didn't see anyone legless. If you didn't fancy anything there was always cheese and fruit and at breakfast a poached egg or omelette station.

I think the entertainment is a lot less than what you may expect from a Spanish or Greek AI.

We found that the most we had was a singer in the bar in the evening.

i found the food nicer than in the AIs we went to in Europe, even with a buffet it was often that the main course was served from a small menu.

When we went to Barbados it was very easy to take a cab to go out for dinner. Not so easy in St Lucia.

do they realise they need to provide alot of day and night entertainment for us???
