Last holiday before school

DC is starting pre school in September. They will be 3.5. So our family holiday at the beginning of July will be our last during term time for 15 years!

Any suggestions on destinations to prioritise that will be enormously better/cheaper/whatever outside school holidays?

DC loves splash parks and being active, Not looking for something that involves lots of driving. We've not done sight seeing as a family yet, a bit of that might be nice, but looking for fun in the sun rather than schlepping.

Budget £4,500, but could stretch to £6,000 maybe for something amazing.

Yep definitely an option, but I think we probably won't do that, we've been saving and this holiday is going to be the last hurrah!

Make the most of it! Just bear in mind that some schools especially private ones and Scotland will already be on their summer holidays by then.
Do you want hot weather?

Disney World Orlando is significantly cheaper and the crowds are much more bearable in term time. There are a couple of great water parks there.
