Oh no! Cold pool?!?

Villa booked for mid May in Algarve and only just seen this:

The swimming pool has been fitted with a Pool Heat Pump making the pool about 3 degrees C to 5 degrees
C warmer at 1PM than a non-heated pool in low season.

a non heated pool in low season is freezing though - have I read that right??

Not sure, but perhaps they mean that the heat pump is used in low season, at which time the water will be 3 to 5 degrees warmer than it would otherwise have been? I wouldn't expect that the heat pump would be used at all in high season.

I've been to the Algarve in August and the unheated pool was freezing so I imagine it would be colder in May. However that was a big hotel pool, a small villa pool would heat up faster.

Whenever I’ve been to the Algarve out of season the pools have been unheated & freezing. It seems to be the norm there.
