3 days to myself February HT

I’m in the lucky position that DH is taking DS away in February half-term, meaning I have Tuesday to Thursday to go somewhere by myself.

Can anyone tell me where they would go? I’m going round in circles. I’m open to anything. I don’t drive,

Train to London and then as many art galleries and theatre shows as you can pack in. Bliss!
Or abroad, maybe a quick city break.... Amsterdam?

Depends what you’d enjoy and how far you’re willing to travel, or can easily get to….are you a city person or hill walker, and where are you starting out from?

Where are you? No point recommending a city break in London/Edinburgh/Cardiff if you already live there. Or flying somewhere if you're miles from an airport or your local airport has limited destinations. 🚚

If I only has 2 nights I would go to my nearest city for a culture and exotic food fix, staying in as nice a hotel I could afford with pool and spa.

Ragdale Hall spa for 2 days full of treatments!

I spent three days holidaying in my own home last Feb HT in similar circumstances.
As soon as they left, I spent a couple of hours having a good tidy up and then went to the supermarket and bought my favourite foods. I did a gym class each day but otherwise just hung around at home, enjoying the peace & quiet. I had a lovely time reading, watching TV and so on. I did worry I'd get a bit lonely and, if I had gone on for another day, I might have done but, as it was, it was perfect!

That does sound perfect!

I didn’t give any detail because I wanted a wide variety of ideas, then I forgot I’d posted 😁

Does anyone know Shrewsbury well? My late DM used to say how much she loved it and I’ve never been.

@dancinginthewind probably has the best idea. I thought I might get lonely with DH and DS away but you’ve reassured me.
