Budapest with teens

We have booked 4 nights over New Year with DD17, DSD17 and DS14. We know we will have to book restaurants in advance for NYE, obviously not yet, but we are starting to plan as we like thinking ahead. Any recommendations?
Any other recommendations other than the thermal baths, fisherman's bastion and Buda Castle, which will already know we will do?

Definitely recommend the synagogue - cost about £20 per person (expensive for Budapest) but includes a tour. Definitely take the tour - the guides are all local, mainly members of the synagogue and tell stories of their own families experiences in the Holocaust etc. Very moving and meaningful.

Also go up to the roof at the basilica for lovely views of the city. If the Christmas market in front of the basilica is still on they do a light show in the evening which is well worth it but I think that'll probably have finished by new year.

I think they'd love Sizmpla Kert, there's also an abundance of fun activities like escape rooms too if they'd enjoy that kind of thing?

Maybe a river boat lunch tour?

Oh we loved budapest with our pre teens and plan to go back when they are old enough for the baths! I wasn't too impressed with fisherman's bastion, agree get yourself on a boat. We loved walking around admiring the buildings. The opera house is also fab if that's your thing. I am off to Google the thing that was closes that we wanted to do.

Edit to say it was the citadel and liberty statue. Should be open hopefully by the time you go. Well worth the walk for us despite being closed, would have loved to get in though!

Pop into Szentendre on the HEV, if you have time.

Definitely Memento Park. Surreal collection of old Soviet monuments.

Thanks all. I'll look at all those suggestions. Any restaurant recommendations?
