Does this. Exist? Villa complex with restaurants and entertainment

Currently planning summer hols and wondering if it's possible to find a villa complex serviced by local restaurants and bars. We like the idea of our own villa space with private pool where two families can be together, but want the convenience of hotel type restaurants and bars so we don't have to do full self catering.

Hit me with your recommendations - bonus points if it's close to a beach!

TIA

Where are you thinking? Spain, Greece, Portugal, Italy?

what’s your budget? In the term time break?

ToastyToes101 · 28/01/2024 16:54

A vague idea of location and budget would be helpful. Are you looking abroad? If so, long or short haul? Ages of travellers (i.e just adults, or kids too?)

budget important

i have a couple by very pricey

Zoomerang · 28/01/2024 16:57

I think Pine Cliffs in Portugal would do this, and it’s lovely (also ££££)

Anywhere in Europe - as long as it's warm in July. Four adults and two kids u12. No idea about budget!

www.bahiazul.com/en/ - there are a few restaurants and bars nearby but it is about bit out of the centre of corralejo, easily accessible by taxi though. But this sounds like the sort of thing you want, villa complex with a restaurant offering half board options. We stayed here a few years ago and it was lovely

Trou aux Biches Beachcomber in Mauritius do this. There are 2 or 3 bed (possibly more) villas with private pool, butler etc. Prices have gone up massively though so think you are looking at around at least £11,000 per family if not more.
its a gorgeous resort with about 6 restaurants but not much entertainment which suits us. I imagine other Mauritius hotels will offer similar set ups so you might find somewhere with more lively entertainment if that’s what you are after.

I've looked and didn't find anywhere. I did find aparthotels though if you'd consider that?

We've ended up going for a caravan site again. My kids still like the entertainment, they'd be bored if we were in a villa on our own.

andthebandmarchedon · 29/01/2024 09:02

Sorry, I didn’t see the bit about it being in Europe!

Aphrodite Hills, Cyprus

pinkyfinger · 29/01/2024 09:03

James Villas do this. I think they're called resort or complexes.

We stayed in a nice apart hotel in calpe, Costa blanca before. Lots of activities for kids, next to beach, lovely restaurants close by.

La manga (golf/tennis type place) in Spain used to be like this pre covid - but I haven't been since so I'm not sure what it's like these days...

sarahb083 · 29/01/2024 11:40

What about a villa in or just outside a town? Puerto Pollensa in Mallorca, for example, has lots of villas about a 10 min walk from the town which has tons of restaurants and a nice sandy beach.

Wildehorses · 29/01/2024 12:34

Forte Village in Sardinia but it’s very pricey

Marriott’s Marbella Beach resort might suit you.

Marriott’s Marbella Beach resort might suit you.

There are several walkable restaurants and it’s on the beach.
