Madeira at the end of March?

Hi just wondering if they weather in Madeira at the end of March will be warm and sunny for most of the time looking for somewhere in the early to mid twenties in temperature. Also recommendations on where to stay and visit in Madeira would be welcomed. Can we use mainly cashless or do we also need to take euros?
TIA

We love Madeira, I think at the end of March the weather could be very changeable as it is an island. We’re going back in May.
The majority of hotels are in and around Funchal, mostly on the higher land overlooking the bay. These tend to be ‘resort’ type hotels, lovely but a taxi, bus or good walk away from the centre of Funchal. So worth spending time researching the one that suits you best.
In Funchal itself there are a couple of larger hotels and then smaller local style ones. We have stayed and are staying in Funchal because we like to wander the streets and eat at the local restaurants without having too far to go.
In general we use plastic, but take a few Euros for small purchases. There are some very good day trips around the island, especially the smaller ones in jeeps. The inland roads are appalling, so probably not worth hiring a car. Unless you like scary rides! We book anything like this from the UK.
Hope you have a lovely time.

Currently in Madeira - we are in a hotel a good 20/30 minutes walk into Funchal. Weather has been 20/22 all week but we were told it was torrential rain all last week. I suspect things would be better end of March but I went to Italy in august and it threw it down for three days so who knows.

Trip to nuns valley is a must and some stunning views. Cable car and a visit to the Monte gardens was a lovely day out.

The botanical gardens look lovely but haven't made it there yet.

It's a lovely spot and feels very good quality everywhere

Bolt (similar to Uber) is cheap -£6/7 to get into town

Heard good things about the buses too

We stayed mid Feb last year and it was pool weather all week. Our hotel was the Next Savoy. Incredible breakfast, lovely pool with direct entrance to the sea, and easy short walk into town and back at night. Next Savoy
