Mum’s 80th

Our mum is 80 this year and we are taking her away with the whole family for the weekend to a holiday home. There are 3 of us, all in couples but we all have different number of children coming too. Should the accommodation be split 3 ways or should the couple with most children pay more?

By bedrooms needed per family?

But I am more inclined to just say divided by 3 to avoid long and difficult conversations.

Pay per bedroom. So if one family needs 2 bedrooms and the other 3 split cost by 5 then multiply by 2 for one family and 3 for the other.
