Is Beekse Bergen worth it with babies and toddlers?
Is there playgrounds and activities suitable for their age and what is the pool like?

What are the food options - which would you recommend?

Bumping because I have the same question! Thinking of the Netherlands for this summer, my DS will be 19 months

There are at least 2 separate pool complexes - one in the Lake Resort and another in the Safari Resort. We used the one in the lake resort which was gorgeously warm and very clean, with a separate area for toddlers. There was a sort of seating area within the water, so I could sit and relax overlooking the view of the lake while the kids played, which was lovely.
Also, attached to the park is Speelland Attraction Park which had a large beach play area, waterslides, crazy golf, pedal / motor go-karts, bouncy pillows, bouncy castles and other attractions – great fun for all ages. There were also quite a few other places in The Netherlands included for free with the visit though we didn’t go to those.
We ate in the restaurant on the first night and whilst it was pricy, the menu was good serving typical Dutch food. The second night, we ordered food from the snack hut and ate outside whilst the dc were watching the evening entertainment. This was good value for money yet serving very similar food to the restaurant next door.
There are loads of play areas dotted all over the place. Some just have a small slide, whilst others are full play areas. On the lake there are small areas of sand to relax and play on although whilst these are cleaned daily, you do have to be careful of the goose poop. Personally if you want some beach time, I would pop over to Speelland.

Yes it’s nice there for small kids.

We stayed close to the Lake Resort last summer and like pp enjoyed the swimming pool - there’s a small indoor play next door and a cafe too, which as pp described is right on the beach. You can get a free boat across the Lake to Speeland which is great for little ones if it’s dry weather. There’s also a bus service that trundles round the (very large) site and will get you to the Safari park, or you can drive there if you stay on the lake side.

We found it did get very busy in the pool sometimes but probably because people were driven indoors by some very wet weather.

We also enjoyed the Safari park and did that three times - it was easy to find cheap basic food and play areas in the park

We overall liked Beekse Bergen more for our small child (age 4) than our older child.
