Family of 4 off to the Canaries in April the hotel looks to mins looks 13 mins by map from airport and I was wondering if anyone knew how taxis are there? Best way to transfer rather than the £75 Thomas cook charge.
advice appreciated

If you are staying in Caleta de Fuste, the taxi's at the airport charge around 15 to 20 euro's depending on where your hotel is. I would assume that the hotel would be happy to call a return taxi for you to the airport. I've been 5 times to here and am booked again for this year. Let me know if you have any questions will be happy to try and help 😀

Not helpful, sorry, but I read ‘traansfer’ in the voice of Bianca from Eastenders 😂

@ToWonderWhyIBother i was going to book a transfer for €33 but I may wait. Is it hard to get a taxi? We were scammed in Rome once and cautious. Also if you been late that’s a good sign! Is it nice there?
@Throwawayaccountonaccountofthis I noticed it after I posted and can edit it, the shame

Caleta de fuste is lovely but not sure if that's where you are staying. They have a huge sign outside the airport with the charges on so you can't get scammed, I think 15 euro is the least it will be, and depending on where your hotel is that's where the increase may or may not come in.

This is about a 9 min walk down to caleta de fuste. I've never stayed there but we have driven through it a few times when dropping off people at their resorts.

I'm sure you will have a lovely time, and enjoy the weather.

It will be slightly cheaper than 15 euro as it's closer to the airport.

@ToWonderWhyIBother and last question, love a person with the inside track, will it be easy enough to get a taxi at the airport?

We went to caleta a few years back, there were a queue of taxis out the front of the airport, think ours was 15Euro, have a great time

@Rawrrawr1 many thanks for replying

Yes there is a taxi rank at the airport and if there isn't one when you come out, you will only wait a couple of mins till one comes.

The bars and restaurant choices in Caleta cater for everyone from cheap and cheerful to expensive.

You'll be fine getting a taxi at the airport to Caleta. We were going to go on the coach but our bags came out first and we couldn't be bothered waiting for everyone else so we just told the rep and she pointed us to a nice man with a taxi. We got his number and he picked us up to go back to the airport at the end of our holiday.
