We are currently planning a bit of a road trip around northern Europe and looking for some insights regarding great accomodation for a family of 4 (kids aged 11 and 5):

We have so far shortlisted the following areas:

-Lucerne
-Montreux
-Freiburg im Breisgau
-Baden Baden
-Triberg
-Feldberg

Any suggestions of places you loved?

We are also potentially thinking of stopping off in Strasbourg (France).

Berne, Interlaken (or the Jungfrau villages), Saas Fee/Zermatt, Arosa, Basel

Lake Constance if you like cycling, Europa Park

The hostel in Saas-Fee has a pool
and a spa. Adults can upgrade to spa board. Highly recommended.

Konstanz is perfect (German side of Lake Constance / Bodensee). Lots of apartments just out if town in small villages like Wallhausen, but the city itself is lovely. Sailing, cycling, swimming in thermal pools as well as the lake itself. You can also have a fun day out at the Zeppelin museum in Friedrichshafen.
I suggest staying on the German side as it's prettier, also Switzerland is v v expensive.
