Where to go towards the end of April

I’m looking for a short 4/5 day break with DH (first time leaving DD at home) it’s our 25th wedding anniversary this year so want it to be somewhere a bit more special and hot enough to swim in the sea/ocean. Needs to be in Europe or preferably under 6 hour flight so am thinking our only options are canaries but open to suggestions. Budget upto £2k.

We just want to relax and unwind as it’s been a really tough 2023.

Any suggestions?

Fig Tree Bay in Cyprus. King Jason Hotel AI adults only. Lots of lovely hotels in Protaras and Pernera which is a bit quieter.
We’ve been to Cyprus many times in April, lovely weather for sunbathing and sea swimming though it’s a little chilly! Atlantic will also be chilly so similar in Canaries though weather may be a tad warmer there.

Definitely Egypt if you want sea swimming at that time of year. The Red Sea will be warm enough and you get a lot more luxury for your money in Egypt.

Iberostar Anthelia in Tenerife was a lovely hotel a few years back. Haven't been in recent years as the price has gone through the roof.

Greece or Italy? You'd get the heat I think!

Thank you! I didn’t think about Egypt so will have a look. Cyprus might be an option too!! I don’t think it will be warm enough in Greece

Yes I’d say Egypt. Or Dubai or Oman if you’re willing to fly a little further. Cyprus sea would be too cold for me but maybe you are hardier!

Cape Verde would be within that time if you can fine a direct flight
