Best canary island with an 11 year old?

I’m looking for Easter break sun in April and wondering where is best? Short haul flight is preferable so the Canaries seem the safest bet for short haul and sun. Just me and an 11 year old boy- he loves swimming!
Would rather not do all inclusive so an area with restaurants and a short walk to the beach would be great.
Have previously been to Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria but this was without a child- the beach was great but are there family friendly restaurants rather than Irish pubs/bars? That’s all I seem to remember away from the beach! Not a fan of bars/pubs but would accept this again if there is a stretch of family restaurants.
Costa Adeje in Tenerife has been recommended to me but is the beach ok? Would prefer to avoid black send. Any suggestions for a Canary island that isn’t windy in April and would have a good beach within walking distance /day trip distance to a water park for an 11 year old boy would be great!

I think Costa Adeje is probably your best option for what you want. There are several beaches that don’t have black sand - Playa del Duque, Playa Torviscas, Puerto Colon (which had an inflatable assault course in the sea when we visited).

The Canaries are all year round resorts but, in April you might find it's not that warm for swimming. They are all windy as stuck in the Atlantic.
I've been to all the islands at various times of year. When we took DC in April they were disappointed that they couldn't spend all day in the pool like they did in say Greece in summer.

Fuertaventura and Lanzarote are probably windier than the others.
I agree Costa Adeje is a good choice. Just make sure the hotel has a heated pool.

Tenerife or Lanzarote, the others are nice but quieter, the best ever water park is Siam in Tenerife, if he’s swimming mad I’d pick Tenerife just for that alone ! Both Lanzarote and Tenerife have great beaches and volcanos to visit!
