Posh all inclusives on Crete

I'm looking for a posh all inclusive hotel or resort with a kids club on Crete. It's for a family celebration with ages 76 down to 8. The kids want a kids club, not just 'kids around'. A water park would also be great.

Cost isn't completely irrelevant, but not the biggest issue.

It needs to be to the west of Heraklion, since part of the trip is already planned with an event in far west.

Does anyone have a personal recommendation? I've obviously done the normal looking for options, but would really like someone to have personal experience.

Elounda is lovely. We loved Tui blue elounda breeze. Lots of pools, water slides, great evening entertainment for all ages, kids club. Best food we've ever had in an all inclusive.

Fodele Beach Resort is an amazing hotel. The only thing I’d change about it though is that it’s not really within walking distance from anything apart from the beach.

Elounda is east of heraklion.

I was going to say the one I went to in Elounda but then read it needs to be west of Heraklion

Lyttos Beach, I think it's south of Heraklion but only about 15/20 mins if I remember correctly.

Waterpark, loads of pools and activities, good food and drinks. Our room had a private pool which our kids loved. Don't know if I'd describe it as 'posh' but it wasn't loud, some adults only pools, restaurant had family sections and the bars didn't feel overcrowded of an evening.

Can't say anything about the kids club as ours didn't fancy it but it looked good, lots of activities, outdoor but covered space.
