hello wise ladies. have had a tough year with health issues and pondering an impromptu solo weeks trip to the maldives... thinking about six senses kanuhara - has anyone been or any other accomodation reccomendations. this will be my first trip there so any and all advice welcome.

not looking for active sports... just maybe some snorkeling... enjoy good food so that's a must for the hotel as probably wouldn't leave the resort I am in much.

TIA♡

I've been to Kunuhura and it was paradise! We stayed in a hut on stilts in the sea, but I'd actually have been very happy if you want to save a few £'s with booking a garden villa (I think that's what they were called).
We booked via Kuoni and went all inclusive which I'd recommend - not sure if you'd be able to go non all incl.
we got a sea plane to the island which was okay, but not overly worth the money.
You'll need to book restaurants a day or so in advance.
Good buggy's go round like buses, but I'd recommend going for a walk early morning and evening to plan your day as it's SO HOT.

The boat toars are great, but book as soon as you arrive.
There's a doctor on the island.

I'd go back in a heartbeat.

@namechangedforthisone123456 thanks so much! I feel more reassured now especially knowing there is a doc around. I was looking to book one of the beach villas so I can see the sea and also have some vegetation around. yes it's all inclusive, which is understandable. Good to know about the bookings... how did you find the food?

The food was honestly fantastic, really 5*. Well worth booking into all the restaurants.

The cocktail menu was also great, but I was pregnant, so I just worked my way through the non alc menu!

I remember there being a couple of really nice pools on the island too, much like a fancy beach club vibe.

You won't regret booking. I'm so jealous!

How long are you thinking of going for? We tagged Kununara onto a trio after SriLanka, but friends have tagged on after Dubai.

@namechangedforthisone123456 very glad to hear food is good. most important part of a holiday for me! I don't drink anyway, so it's all good.

I am thinking 8/9 nights...

hopefully you will go again soon!

You're going to LOVE it. Really and truly it's just as beautiful as the brochures, no camera filters necessary.
Also, doesn't feel crowded at all, very quiet.
Just remembered too, I think there's an outdoor cinema screen one evening, and we also went snorkelling via a boat, my husband saw a small shark but sensibly didn't tell me this until back on the boat.

Enjoy x

And you have no choice but to stay at your resort, you literally are stranded on the island. It’s pure bliss! Have a wonderful time! Take water shoes!
