Northern Italy ideas

We would like to arrange a holiday in Northern Italy in July but there are so many places it’s difficult to know where to start. Any tips on working out an itinerary would be great please.

Would like a day or 2 near Lake Garda
like the idea of walking in the Dolomites
would hire a car
would like some time by beach/sea
Don’t want to visit cities really as I think it will be too hot
Ideally about 10 days, no more than 3 lots of accommodation

The main international airports closest to the Dolomites are Venice (160km) and Munich. There also are smaller airports in the region - Treviso, Verona, and Innsbruck. I’d recommend Cortina is a lovely town in a gorgeous open and sunny valley surrounded by a ring of spectacular mountains. From Cortina, I’d say it’s a good half day of driving to the northern tip of Garda, but you’d probably want to be based further down to take the pressure off your final drive from Garda to the coast.
