DD is 7, we are self catering near Rockley Beach - never been to Barbados before - so what must we do, should we know and any "steer clears" ??

Thank you !!

Oh - and anyone got any great plans to while away 8.5 hours on a plane ????

You must go on the Atlantis submarine trip. It's brilliant. All airconditioned and with a superb commentary. Highly recommended. DH reckons it was the best holiday excursion he has ever done.

The Animal Flower Cave- somewhere near the North of the Island; it's a cave by the sea full of sea anemones!

Also there's a good visit to a cave systen with stalacmites, etc and rock fromations...you go on a wee train with hard hats!

That was closed when we went last August/September.

Oistins fish fry on a Friday evening. If you are lucky you will get to see the Greasy Pole competition! Hilarious! Harrisons Caves are great for children. Would not recommend a trip on the Jolly Roger but would recommend a trip out to see the turtles or any glass bottomed boat type thing.
I am so jealous! You will have a great time just on the beach letting the colourful fish swim around tour toes. Seek out some turnovers - lovely coconut cake things and macaroni pie and my DD loved flying fish cutters (sarnies) Get a coconut with the top cut off to taste the milk too. Great fun.

Do not be alarmed by Dolphin fish. Is not a dolphin.
Blue marlin is nice too.
