holiday booked to portugal

we've just booked our first holiday abroad to portugal with our dd who's 3.i don't know if we've made the right choice after the madeleine mccann incident.we've got aprivate villa in albuferia.just wondered what your thoughts were.have we been stupid in choosing this country.

of course not. Such an incident could happen whereever you go on holiday or indeed at home.

no it's fine, plenty of other people are still going there.

thank you this is my first post on mn.just wondered what other parents thought as a friend of mine was surprised we'd chosen to go there.we actually live in next village to mccanns.i think thats why she was surprised as it's so close to home.
