UK romantic guesthouse

Hi All,

I am looking for something which probably doesn't exist in the UK.

It's my husbands birthday soon so I am looking for overnight breaks. When we did our honeymoon we stayed in a guesthouse where each room was different and had history ie the room we stayed in used to be the kitchen.
They left out cookies and wine I'm the evening and had a honest bar too.
We found something similar in Bath a while back but unfortunately Covid meant they closed.

Does anyone know anything similar?! I'm really struggling!

Sorry I should add the honeymoon stay was in America, so we didn't find anything here!

Never been to any of them but might be one here thats takes your fancy Themed hotels

I’d recommend Trewornan Manor in Cornwall, The Old Rectory in Hastings and The White House in North Norfolk

I think they're often called themed hotels or boutique hotels in the UK.

It’s not a guesthouse but take a look at Greys House Hotel in York. Pricy but unique and beautiful
