Going this summer with DD 5. Villa with pool and I've googled a few things for kids (tree top walk, Dino museums, aquarium), planning a boat trip and cable car, has anyone got anything else suitable for her age they can recommend she may like? No car.

Ancient tram to the seaside at Foz do Douro.
Livraria Lello bookshop - inspiration for Harry Potter.
If you pass the railway station, do look inside - stunning tiles.

I've no suggestions for things to do with kids but I would book your evening meals beforehand. There are so many fantastic places to eat but you need to book.

We went last year over Easter for 4 nights with 9 and 5 year old.

Beach will be lovely in the summer, lots of nice cafes and restaurants next to it. we visited the aquarium which is quote small but filled an hour or so. Serralves on the outside of the city has a cool wee farm and treetop walk.

There are boat trips along the river, the World of Discoveries was a big hit as it's a bit like a Small World at Disney (!) and tells the history of Portugal and their trade but is aimed at kids and has interactive bits too.
We also did a family walking tour, took the cable car for the views and had lots of ice cream.

Everything we did is on my stories on insta pink_lady123 - we really enjoyed it and would love to visit again and explore more of the surrounding area.
