Tenerife - traveling from Tenerife South Airport to Puerto de la Cruz

We are going to Tenerife for a week, flying to Tenerife South airport. What is the best/cheapest way to get from the airport to Puerto de la Cruz?
Flight arrival is around 2 PM.
This will be our first time in Tenerife, so any other info, suggestions are wellcome.
