What’s the nicest Caribbean Island?

We have been to a couple of the English speaking islands. Never ventured to somewhere like Hispaniola or one of the French speaking islands yet.

What’s the nicest island in your experience? We like good beaches, friendly people, and fair prices.

Anyone?

Love Barbados and Grenada

The Bay Islands off Honduras, La Ceiba are nice (admittedly it’s been a few years since I last went). Nevis is lovely as is Montserrat and Dominica, the beaches at the latter too are volcanic. Antigua is good, St Kitts too.

St Lucia, amazing natural environment, good food. Hated Barbados and Jamaica because of the sex tourism, felt unsafe. Antigua ok, not very exciting. Dominican republic meh, cheap and cheerful but resorts not luxury even at 5* and outside often a bit sketchy. Short stop only in St Thomas- very American, expensive
