Mauritius in July

Has anyone been to Mauritius in July? What was the weather like? We are looking at the North of the Island.

We would be going either at the beginning of July for 2 weeks or mid October for two weeks. We’ve been in October before and it was lovely, though more expensive to go.

I’m really worried July will be too cold and the pool too cold for the kids to go in. I really love hot weather!

I have and would recommend october. It wasnt cold in july (we did loads of sea swimming for eg) but it did cool off late afternoon a bit. It's also very trade wind-y then!

We went last year in July. The weather was 26-29 and was lovely for sunbathing etc. The pool was too cold for me but the sea was fine for swimming, a better temperature. I think the West side of the island is less windy, we didn't have any problems and it was sunny every day. The sun sets quite early because it is winter there, I'm sure it was dark about 6.30 which was the only thing that annoyed me slightly. You've been so I don't have to tell you the beaches are fab.
