St Andrews recommendations

Hello,

Myself and my DP + 2 small DC are looking to spend a night or two in St Andrews in February. We have got the Fairmont booked for a night however was looking to see what other places would maybe be better and more central as we don't drive.

Any recommendations would be great.

Thank you!

The fairmont used to run a shuttle bus - I assume they still do - which runs you into town.

The town is so easy on foot as it's compact so really any hotel that's in the town itself will be very convenient. We've stayed at the hotel du vin and had a lovely sea view from our room. You can walk to ask the restaurants/beaches etc so easily. We've also booked a house through Fife cottages which was great but might not suit if you're just after a couple of nights.

The garden suite at The Albany is a really good size for a family with young children as it has two separate sleeping areas and space for a travel cot.

I’m just back from Hotel du Vin. The location is ex Allen’s and the advice was exceptional without exception. They could not do enough for us, it really made our trip

I’ve stayed at the Fairmont before with work and discounted it for this trip due k being out of the town
