Boca Raton

We are thinking of going to Boca Raton for a concert. Niche, I know. Has anyone been there?
We were thinking of flying into Miami and found from there, but DH desperately wants to go to Kennedy Space Centre so we might start in Orlando. Is there anything to do in Orlando that doesn't involve theme parks?

I'd spend a couple of days on the gulf keys if you are flying out of Orlando. If Miami I would do the Florida keys instead. Kennedy space centre is fab.
