Hi all
Looking for recommendations for a family holiday for this year.
We did Cyprus last year, Lanzarote the year before. The boys loved both but would like to go somewhere different.
Would like to do Majorca but I'm not sure where. We did Santa ponsa before but found it a bit boring.
Looking for a villa with nearby strip of restaurants, water sports like pull along rides and pedalos and nice beaches. Just want to make sure we stay away from magaluf style places but not boring.....
Which is best for families, pollenca? Alcudia? Cal d'Or etc

I always liked palma nova

Following to see if you get any more replies as we’re looking at Majorca this year but unsure where.

Palma nova is great, just on the outskirts of magaluf (you can walk it in 10 mins). Lots of water sports and restaurants plus you can go visit the city

My plan is to return to Salou, Spain (on par with magaluf) when my dcs are that age but we'll stay in Cambrils. There's the Port Adventura theme park, Caribe waterparks, can catch the train to Barcelona and Salou beach has lots going on during the day (and a busy nightlife)

Cargese in Corsica might fit the bill.

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 13/01/2024 15:33

id you want something different how about Morocco. You could do the beach at essauouira and always combine with marrakesh and/or the mountains too if you have time.

MrsTerryPratchett · 13/01/2024 15:35

Pull along rides but not magaluf style is probably a narrow window.

What's the budget?

bobomomo · 13/01/2024 15:39

I'd opt for Tenerife at that age. Didn't see bad behaviour at all when we were there, loads to do though. Caveat that we weren't out past 10 but I doubt you will be with kids. I'd look at ai too at those ages, many have teen programmes. Ibiza is another good option, we stayed NW which had lots of families and again didn't see any lads/stag/hen type groups

Kvec1507 · 13/01/2024 16:10

We've managed to do that in menorca, Majorca, Cyprus and Spain and never seen one vomiting 18-30 🤣
Budget is up to 5k

Wev done Alcudia three times and really like it. There's lovely restaurants, the beach is great with a boardwalk you can jump off in to the sea, lots of water sports. You can go to the old town which is lovely.

Kvec1507 · 13/01/2024 16:19

This sounds good. Did you stay in a hotel?

Ibiza, Es Cana

thedementedelf · 13/01/2024 16:41

Ibiza, Tenerife, Benidorm all suitable for kids of those ages.

Ejismyf · 13/01/2024 16:45

Yeah we did but we wouldn't go back now as the rooms are too small for that age of children now and very basic and we didn't like it too much last year due to some of the clientele. If you go you need to visit Sa Gavina, the food was fantastic best chateaubriand wev ever had and I think about it weekly 😄
