DP and I have been to Croatia a few times and love it. Looking for tips on a nice new place to discover this summer. We will be going via Airbnb self-catering and want a combination of not too-packed beaches (happy with gravel/rocky/concrete/swimming in a harbour), a few nice cafes and food shops and some of that amazing mix of architecture you get in this part of the world.
Previously been to Zadar (loved it); Trogir (lovely town, but beaches were a bit busy/full of resort sunloungers; Fazana (bit too much of a tourist town although it has nice buildings, and the Brijuni Islands are great), Solta (enjoyed the peace and quiet and beauty, although it is short on architecture).
We won't have a car, so things need to be in strolling distance or there needs to be decent public transport.
TIA.
