Which suitcase?

I am considering upgrading my slightly shabby suitcases but Im not sure what to buy. I currently have soft sided, expandable cases but Im tempted by the solid sided ones. I've spent an hour looking at various options in TKMAXX but still unsure.

Look at Tripp suitcases

They used to be sold in debanhams and now online. We debated buying samsonite but they were so expensive in comparison. We have two medium size Tripp and they are around 12 years old now. Have been on planes, trains, boats, relocated moving overseas, lobbed in car, attic, cellar. And they are as new. The wheels have survived baggage handlers throwing them etc.
