Costa Adeje - anyone spent Christmas here?

Hi, we've just booked to go to Tenerife for Christmas 2024. We are staying in a (nice I hope!) hotel, half board. We don't arrive until Christmas Eve so a bit late to be looking for restaurants for Christmas Day once we arrive. We've never been away for Christmas Day itself - but thinking we'd eat out on Christmas Day...or would people generally stay in/around hotel and eat there for Christmas? If anyone has any advice or recommendations for nice restaurants/things to do over the Christmas period, please let me know as I'm keen to start doing some research! Thanks in advance

I went just after Christmas it’s a lovely resort. Definitely go to the water park and the zoo was good too . There’s a small shopping centre with a handful of nice restaurants.

Thanks. We won't have a car, is it easy to get around without one? I haven't been to Tenerife since I was a toddler! What was the temperature like when you were there?

I'm in Tenerife at the moment, came a bit later than you (3rd Jan) and it's been really hot, as in sunbathing hot though do try to find a heated pool! Transport is very easy. Lots of buses and taxis are quite cheap. Would also try to find accommodation in an actual town, we have ended up 10 miles outside of Costa Adeje and there's not much here bar a few restaurants and shops.

Thanks for replying. The hotel we've booked has a couple of heated pools.

We stayed in Costa Adeje for Xmas but we rented an apartment. If you want to eat out Xmas day you'd have to start researching restaurants now as the good ones do get booked up in advance. The weather was fabulous. We hired a car but there's a good bus service and lots of taxis available.
