Anyone been to Rome in late Jan? What will the weather be like and should I be taking a coat?

Definitely need a coat. Like much of Europe, the bad winter weather if it comes in Italy comes after Christmas. Average temperatures Jan are between 3 and 12 degrees and between 3 and 14 in February.
