Morocco or......? Mid February

Thanks to fab recomendations re Berlin last year, I am looking for advice again having spent the last 3 days going round in circles.

I can take our younger 2 teens away mid Feb (Sat 10th - 19th inclusive). Started by Googling Skyscanner and came up with Copenhagen.... but it is cold and Tivoli Gardens is closed. Nothing else immediately jumped out to do with teens.

Then Morocco popped up...... warmer weather and it has got me thinking.... would I be brave enought to travel that far on my own with 2 youngsters.... would it be safe as a single parent? I have since spent hours Googling Agadir (had never heard of it before) and can see loads of fun optional excursions.

I am now going round in circles - should I shouldn't I? Which hotel would suit best - for teens? All Inclusive - is it worth it or half board - have never done either before and if we go out for excursions would all inclusive be a waste.

Youngsterw would just want pools to entertain themselves and I would like decent food.

Any advice / recommendations for / against - or anywhere else I should consider would be so helpful. Thanks

Was cold when we went at that time of year

Marrakech will be a lot warmer than Agadir. I’d recommend.

I go to Agadir every January on my own. I came back a few days ago and have a lovely tan! It was 26 degrees. Yes uts safe! There's people who will try and sell you stuff but just say no thank you and they move on!

I was taken on a holiday to Morocco as a teenager by/with my aunt and uncle. Even though I was with two adults I still had men just grab me in the street. I hated it and will never go back there despite travelling around the rest of the world solo (never experienced that anywhere else!).
So if one of your teens is a girl I'd say give that a miss.

Thanks everyone. Flights to Marrakech never came up but will look into them. Yes one is a girl so definitely something to consider. The warmer weather was what appealed plus having never been to Africa but I need to be safe when it's just 1 adult going.

I had hoped by going all-inclusive it would be safer (transfers included, based at the hotel and excursions organised by hotel ?) but having never done a package holiday I am perhaps deluded.

Perhaps it's another city break in Europe.......

There is great surfing near Agadir if that's something you think your teens would be interested in!

We went to Agadir many years ago, so I'm not sure what it's like now. It's mostly a resort though, and comments on Marrakech etc. aren't really relevant unless you're travelling there too (which we did - we'd booked a package holiday just because it was the cheapest option to get there, but then we travelled round Morrocco and only spent a short time in Agadir). It was November and the temperatures were fine - we chose Morocco partly for the weather. Do look at the location of your accommodation - ours was above a bar which was noisy until the small hours.

DH and I were young, but I got no male harassment in Morocco, just people trying to sell us stuff or take us to their carpet shop. I was with a man though, perhaps that makes a difference.
