Sun express and buggies

We’ve just booked a holiday and we are flying with sun express to turkey in August.
I've looked on their website and it seems a bit vauge about if they allow small folded strollers as carry on luggage. We have twins and it would be ideal to have the buggies as we get off the plane. Has anyone flew and took a buggy on board or does it have to be checked in? Thank you

Yo-yo if you could afford to buy two push one each you can take them up to the plane, over head locker.

Thank you. Have you flew with Sun express before?

Did you manage to take your stroller on board?

I've just flown with sun express, there were pushchairs being left at the door to go into the hold but I did see a family with some really nifty little strollers that went into the overhead. IME the overhead lockers aren't stuffed full on longer flights where most people have hold luggage included, unlike eg Ryanair where everyone takes carry on to keep the costs down, so I think a small stroller should be fine

That's really helpful - thank you!

Hi did you manage to take your buggy on board? We have 2 year old twins and we’re wanting to take the babyzen yo-yos on board.

I recently travelled with SE. If it's compact, they allow it on board.

Thank you so much, we were planning on taking the babyzen yoyo for our twins.

Hi, were you allowed to take any strollers on board, if so which one? I am flying with them next week and struggling to find a stroller that’s within their hand luggage measurements

Sha1919 · 06/09/2024 06:30

Hi our yoyos were in a backpack but they still didn’t allow it. SunExpress have a rule that they do not let any strollers onboard, we did luckily manage to get it back after we came off the plane. We were already on the bus but then saw them putting them out just outside the plane so my husband ran and got them. We didn’t have to wait at baggage reclaim for them which was a lifesaver with twins! I’m hoping it will be the same when we return to Gatwick. Just make sure to ask that you will get them back airside.

Heya how did the travel with SunExpress and strollers go? Did they allow you to gate check in the buggy

Far1 · 15/09/2024 14:17

Hi,
I took a gb pockit for my 1yr old and I put it in a backpack and I was allowed to take it in the cabin which was a lifesaver as the gate checked buggy’s were returned with the hold luggage so was quite a wait for it. I did gate check my 2yr olds pram which was a joie pact and it was free and easy but I had to wait for it once landed as had to go through security etc before baggage claim

On our journey back to Gatwick we didn’t get the yo-yo’s back until baggage reclaim, although one lady did sneak her yoyo onboard. She was questioned when boarding and she kept saying it’s fine, it fits and they let it pass! Very frustrating as we could have done with taking at least 1 on board travelling with 4 kids including 2 year old twins! I won’t be travelling with them again that’s for sure!
