Greek island recommendations with kids

Hello, my 2 are 7 and 12 and I'm looking for a May half term break with them- just be me and them both.
I was thinking Kefalonia- any other recommendations welcomed.
They would like a good pool; ideally looking half board if possible.

Kefalonia is a good choice

Kefalonia is my favourite island, I also like Corfu, great for snorkelling.

Great thank you both, I've actually found a great deal with TUI so I think I'm set! I went for my honeymoon a long time ago but it looks as beautiful as I remember.

I really like Crete for the history but it's the biggest island so if you r really want the best of it you need to hire a car, also love Rhodes but again better with a car if you want to get out and see things , mind you I am very averse to coach/organised group activities

Chainia in Crete js nice. Easy to get to and bus station close to old town for getting around. I took my two kids last summer and loved it!

Have not been in Crete but Kefalonia is beautiful. I think my oldest fell in love with Greece and the greek islands we went there. It is her favourite holidays but she does like beach, relaxation, good food and nice scenery.

Kefalonia is special, am jealous of your holiday!

Can I ask which part of island or resort you picked?

We stayed in Lixouri and always interested in other recommendations.

Skala is very family friendly and has a couple of lovely restaurants up the hill which are worth a visit. One is called the Nautilus I think and is a boat overlooking the beach and does amazing fresh fish daily and the other is the Olive Garden which is a more traditional restaurant but again very family friendly. There are also some beautiful tiny beaches along the coast just outside Skala itself. One is opposite the Pelagos Bay Apartments and is well worth finding plus the hotel itself is a good for lunch and drinks. They have tortoises in the gardens too and children can feed them if they ask.
