City break Barcelona or Paris in February? Or somewhere else???

Got chamce for 4-5 day break with DS18.
Barcelina or Paris are on his list. Obvs lots to do in Paris, not sure about Barcelona. Then I thought where else could we go?

I preferred Barcelona loads to see.

Barcelona - food, beach, sightseeing, shopping, entertainment. Best city break I ever had

Marrakech and Malta are warm in Feb, plenty to do around Valetta and Mdina. Berlin, Iceland and Copenhagen all cool alternatives.

Of the two you’ve highlighted I’d go for Barcelona

I hated Paris personally. Overpriced and overrated.

Barcelona is great. I've also really enjoyed Krakow, Prague, Porto, Marrakech, Valletta, Lisbon, Copenhagen, Belfast, Gdansk. All lovely places with really interesting sights/things to do. Depends if you want a bit of winter sun or are more interested in history, cultural stuff etc (though Valletta and Marrakech fit both of these!)

Both really...DS likes history, sightseeing...I do too but would like a bit of warmth

Barcelona is great in February. Not hot but definitely more spring like than the UK. The city is packed outside of the winter. Do check there's no exhibition on. There's a massive mobile congress in Feb and the decent hotels get booked early. Hotels are much better standard than Paris too.
If you have the budget for the Hotel 1898 its great for the winter. Lovely indoor pool as well as the outdoor one on the fantastic roof terrace.

I've been in a t shirt many times in Barcelona in February. The sun is much warmer there.

Of the two, Barcelona sounds preferable just for the chance of better weather! I’d probably go for Florence, Rome or Dubrovnik.

How about Seville? It's likely to be warmer.
