Cottages for 2 families in French resort

Hi everyone,
I am seeking recommendations for places to holiday this August.
We are two families: 2 parents + 18 month old; and 2 parents, 5yo and 3yo

Ideally we want our own accommodation (cottage, villa, lodge) with gardens - but not mobile homes.

We want to be on some kind of resort with a restaurant / bar and ideally kids' clubs.

We are looking at France but also open to other European countries!

Budget max £2k per family

Any ideas would be most welcome!

Many thanks,

Rhiannon

Center Parcs Europe has some gorgeous resorts in France, with multiple accommodation types and things to do. It also tends to be cheaper than the UK and you get a discount for booking at least 6 months in advance.

Alternatively, Pierre & Vacances gets lots of positive reviews. I've never been though so can't give you a firsthand recommendation.

For 1 week? You might be pushing it in August for that budget on a resort. We stayed at Pierre et Vacances Restanques de St Tropez village quite some years back and that met all the criteria, including a baby club I think. They have other villages around France. https://www.babyfriendlyboltholes.co.uk/ might be worth a look as some gite complexes offer a certain amount of childcare or at least are very friendly for small kids. Also, some of big campsites on Italian Riviera have branched out into lodges, and apartments in a separate area. Have a look at Union Lido and Porto Felice for their own accommodation options. I looked for years for the holy grail of separate accommodation in France and Italy plus kids club - and it is limited unless you want to pay £££ like Country Kids. We did a lot of Eurocamp and gite complexes with the odd villa but always had great holidays.

No childcare, but I can recommend Logis du Pressoir in the Loire and Le Banquet, in Les Eyzies as fab gite complexes for small kids.
