Late flight times with young kids

DH and I are desperate to go on a summer holiday this year and have been looking at all inclusive around Europe. It's not the usual holiday we would go on but were open to the idea however after mindlessly scrolling through terrible websites that take x474884 hours to load we've decided that we'd actually like to go to a seaside town that we've visited before pre kids. It has everything we're looking for and within budget, so after getting very excited we searched for flights and I'm not sure how we could do it as the flights arrive at the destination around 10pm or thereabouts. DC1 will be 4.5 years old and DC2 will be just about to/will have just turned 2 years old. We keep a pretty strict bedtime at home with kids in bed by 7pm so I'm not sure how they would do travelling on a plane for the first time and arriving in a completely new country/apartment. How could we manage it? Any tips? This would be the travel times;

From home to airport 30 mins
4.5h flight
30 min taxi to accommodation

I should say that the there seems to be only one flight time available and the only other airport that we could depart from is a 3h drive away...

I flew my kids to Australia when they were 20 months and three. Flight left at 11pm. As we had to be at the airport three hours early there was nothing to be done just hope they slept on the plane, which the younger did but the older not so much! We arrived 4am local time and they were full of energy but I was exhausted. It took about a day to get back into our routine though - tried to get them on the local schedule and I don't recall it being difficult after the first day, even after flying across country a few days later.
I wouldn't overthink it. I've also flown frequently with them on a 6am flight to Spain and just dressed them in their travel clothes before putting to bed and getting them in the car at 3am and giving them breakfast at the airport.

We did a long haul when mine was 5. It was fine. At one point he slept on coats on the airport floor as it was a midnight transfer, we woke him up to get in the plane and the captain let us look in the cabin. He then fell asleep on the plane. All good.
